A farmhouse with a story
Lance and Victoria live in California. They bought a 4-bedroom farmhouse on 15 acres at the edge of Franklin, next door to a working hay farm.
The house proved itself early. A friend of theirs wrote and produced a full country album there over three months, and that's when they realized the place was special. Even so, they figured guests would book it a week here and a week there, at most.
Why they called
A local friend who'd heard good things about Venturebnb pointed them our way. Michael, our Nashville specialist, met Lance and the family at the house in April 2025.
They signed a few days later. Neither of them had run a short-term rental before, and they live across the country, so they wanted one team to handle all of it.
The launch
Michael came out of that first visit with a list of guest add-ons for the property. It included string lights over the picnic tables, a TV for the one bedroom without one, a campfire and s'mores kit, cornhole and fishing poles.
The team finished setup on May 2, 2025. The listing went live two weeks later, on May 16.
What changed
Guests loved it. Every review from March to May 2026 was five stars, 16 in a row. The owners credit part of that to Victoria's standard for the bedding.
The bookings far outran the week-here-and-there they'd planned for, so they reinvested. They replaced the outdoor furniture and the sofa, then remodeled in August 2026, adding new bathrooms and a kids' playroom.
Where it stands now
Over the 12 months from September 2025 to August 2026, the farmhouse earned $124,426 at 72% occupancy. That's with August blocked for the remodel. It holds a 4.91-star rating across 46 guest reviews.
Lance and Victoria now meet with Michael on the first Friday of every month to plan what's next, starting with bunks that will let the house sleep 12 instead of 8.
